Roxroy Cato is a 400m hurdler for the Bears in the Canadian Track and Field League. As an athlete since its inaugural season, Roxroy has been dominant in his discipline and has scored the maximum number of points three years in a row. He is a 2x Olympian for Jamaica, having competed at the 2012 London Olympic Games and 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

At the CTFL Guelph Prelim, which was hosted at the 2024 Royal City Inferno, Roxroy competed in the elite section of the 400m hurdles alongside athletes like James Smith II from the U.S., Rilwan Alowonle - the Nigerian champion - and Eric Cray - the champion from the Philippines.

Roxroy Cato crossed the line in a lifetime best of 48.42, which was under the 2024 Paris Olympic qualifying standard, and it was also the fastest time at his age of 36 or older in the past 15 years, which makes this record all the more impressive.
