World record holders Mondo Duplantis and Karsten Warholm competed in a 100m race on September 4th, 2024, at Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich, Switzerland, during the Zurich Diamond League events. Duplantis had the best start, as expected, with Warholm closely behind him. Duplantis didn't relent, with Warholm trying to close the gap, but Duplantis kept pulling away.
Crossing the finish line with a backward glance, Duplantis clocked 10:37. That's incredibly fast for a pole vaulter—10:37! It seems Warholm may have also set a personal best.
