Men's 300m Hurdles World Record at the 2025 Diamond League
The Men's 300m Hurdles, Round 1, at the first Diamond League meeting of 2025 took place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Xiamen, China.
Here are the results:
* 1st: Karsten Warholm (Norway) - 33.05 seconds (World Best Performance, Diamond League Record)
* 2nd: Matheus Lima (Brazil) - 33.98 seconds
* 3rd: Toyoda Ken (Japan) - 34.22 seconds
* 4th: Berke Akçam (Turkey) - 34.50 seconds
* 5th: Carl Bengtström (Sweden) - 34.75 seconds
* 6th: Kyron McMaster (British Virgin Islands) - 34.95 seconds
* 7th: Xie Zhiyu (China) - 34.95 seconds
* 8th: CJ Allen (USA) - 34.96 seconds
* 9th: Gerald Drummond (Costa Rica) - 35.61 seconds
Key Highlights:
* Karsten Warholm of Norway set a new world best performance in the 300m hurdles with a time of 33.05 seconds. This also established a new Diamond League record for the event.
* The 300m hurdles is a relatively uncommon event but will soon become an official world record discipline recognized by World Athletics.
* Warholm's performance was particularly impressive as he shaved 0.21 seconds off his previous world best, which he set in Oslo in 2021.
