Tokyo Olympics 100 meters finalist Su Bingtian started his European journey last month. The 33-year-old got his season off to a great start by winning the 60 meters in 6.59 seconds. The Chinese sprinter then adjusted his schedule to skip this week's stop in the French city of Mondeville. He decided instead to join a group of international athletes training in Padova. Asia's 100m record holder plans to take part in the 60 meters next week in Lievin. His competition in the French commune will include Tokyo gold medallist Lamont Marcell Jacobs of Italy. Su says his winter training sessions were an important factor in helping him get ready for the season.
